Evolution S coupé
If you have been deliberating what C-Class Sport Coupé variant to purchase, your choice just became a little more difficult. That's because Mercedes has announced the addition of a limited edition sport package for the C-Class, titled the ‘Evolution S.’ Available in either the petrol-powered C180 Kompressor or the diesel-powered C220 CDI, pricing for the two Evolution S models is set at £19,995 and £22,295, respectively. Included in the price is an Evolution AMG Sports package, 17" five-spoke alloy wheels, a leather-trimmed sport steering wheel, stainless steel exhaust tailpipe and steering wheel gearshift paddles. Other highlights include Bi-xenon headlamps, Evolution S badges and a six-disc CD changer. If you're interested, the Evolution S is available for order immediately in your choice of two paint colours, Obsidian Black or Iridium Silver, with other colours available at extra charge.

Special edition A
Feeling blue? This A-Class Special Edition might cheer you up. In Mistral Blue or Reef Silver, the car is based on the existing SE model. An extra £500 on the price adds a range of kit, including 16-inch alloys, new upholstery, cruise control with Speedtronic variable speed limiter and a leather-trimmed steering wheel. Three petrol engines and two diesels are available. Prices start at £14,490.

Hot Brabus R-Class
Brabus, tuner of all things Mercedes, has put quite a package together to hot up the R-class. The power-hungry fiends took the R500's standard 5-litre, 302 horsepower V8 and turned it into a grunt-worthy 6.1-litre engine with 445 horsepower. The Brabus R-Class puts out a top speed of 165 mph and a 0-60 time of 5.9 seconds. They also tweaked the look with a more aggressive body kit, new suspension system and 22” light alloy wheels to round out the subtle exterior enhancements of the vehicle. Finally, to complete the package, Brabus engineers opted to bring a hint of feng shui-like serenity to the interior. Customers can choose stainless steel accents, Mastik and Alcantara leather interior, multimedia package, and opt for a mobile office, complete with powered tables and state of the art computer system.

Gold is extra!
The S65 AMG, it almost goes without saying, is the fastest production saloon in the world. The hand-built, twin-turbo, six-litre engine in the standard S600 has been boosted to produce 604 horsepower, able to propel this three-ton car from 0 to 60 mph in 4.2 seconds, with top speed well beyond 200mph if electronic limiters didn't hold it down to 155mph. As with exotic Aston Martins, the engine is signed by the craftsman who built it. Features to note include air scoops, 20-inch wheels, side skirts and two sets of chromed double-exhaust tailpipes plus the ‘V12 Biturbo’ badges on the front bumpers. An advanced refinement of Mercedes' computerised Active Body Control system will ensure that the body of this car does not lean at all through corners, no matter how hard it is driven. Pneumatic aids will, at the press of a button, close the boot lid and the doors. Walnut or chestnut is on offer to garnish the leather interior, whilst gold is extra. The usual ‘if you need to ask the price you probably can't afford it’ applies!

New look Autologic
Innovation has always been the key to Autologic’s success. The system is covered by free installation and training, access to a technical hotline and a 1-year warranty. 2006 saw the launch of new-look hardware, a contemporary design to complement the advanced technology it supports. The new-look hardware is just another way in which Autologic continues to improve and succeed in a highly competitive market. In fact Autologic has been so successful the developers diagnos.co.uk Ltd have had to move to larger premises, which now encompass integral workshops, allowing further development at their fingertips, Tel 0845 338 1992.

Royal tradition
Spain’s Grand Prix circuit was the setting for a special event when the keys to a Maybach were handed over to Spanish King Juan Carlos I. DaimlerChrysler Chairman Dieter Zetsche said, "His Majesty Juan Carlos I is allowing the Maybach brand to continue a tradition which dates back to the 1920s and 30s, when it supplied its products to numerous royal dynasties. The royal Maybach has a light beige leather interior with brown burr walnut trim and features sterling silver ornaments created by the London silversmith Patrick Mavros.

Collectable classic
As the smart roadster nears the end of its life, smart is launching the new ‘finale edition’ for customers who want to invest in a compact, classic sports car. Originally launched in the UK in June 2003, the roadster helped recreate a driving feeling, reminiscent of the 50s and 60s. Since it was announced that the car will no longer be built, experts have been predicting that it will become a collectable classic. The commemorative special edition has an 80 bhp engine and boasts an impressive level of specification, including 17'' alloy wheels, metallic paint, air conditioning, cockpit clock and rev counter, starter switch integrated in gear shift lever, sound package, interior contrast components in ‘flow silver’ and an exclusive colour combination on the roadster of speed silver body panels with black tridion. With front and rear grille in the same body colour, the car will look strikingly different to the standard model. Pricing of the ‘finale edition’ will be: roadster £13,990, roadster-coupé £14,690.
